Arbitrator orders Twitter.com domain name typo that mimics popular site to be transferred to Twitter.
A World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) arbitration panel has ordered the Twitter typo Twittter.com (with three t’s) be transferred to Twitter.
The domain name should be transferred within ten days.
It’s no wonder Twitter was upset about this domain name. It currently resolves to a page on SocialRewardCentral.com that mimics the look and feel of Twitter:

Users are tricked into thinking Twitter is offering free prizes if they divulge their e-mail address (and later take part in offers).
This is the fifth time Twitter has turned to WIPO to get a domain name. Three of the cases involve popular typos such as Twittr.com and Twiter.com.
